Pet Information
Strong Immune Systems. Jeffrey Levy, DVM asks the question, "Have you ever wondered why some dogs and cats have severe flea problems, while others are hardly bothered by the little pests? Fleas can be viewed as an indicator of an animal's general health. Parasites in general, and fleas in particular, are most attracted to the weak, unhealthy, or very young animal whose immune system is not functioning well. The long-term solution to a flea problem is to reduce your pet's susceptibility to fleas by improving his/her health." I personally feed the highest quality diet I can. This is NOT expensive and I have 4 dogs in my home. I actually spend about an hour every two weeks making food for my dogs that includes Dinovite Liquid AND LickOchops. When I am all done, I have 56 individual "patties" that contain all the nutrients my dogs need for good health and very STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEMS! Studies show that fleas and ticks prefer to infest pets with weak immune systems. Last year, we had no fleas! I used no chemicals and had been feeding our homemade diet for almost a year.
